Exploring Aurasma Studio was totally something brand new to me. I was surprised with how it worked to create the augmented reality. At first, I was quite worried that it will be difficult to produce but somehow it didn’t as difficult as what I had thought. Basically, the virtual mirror interface allowing me, as a student, to explore new information in a more engaging way. In my opinion, the potential of augmented reality is countless, for example: helps to generate student’s idea, learning in a real-life scenario, and provide a large range of learning opportunities. Indeed, AR is a good medium to attract student’s attention and effectively deliver the content to the audience. Well, I wish that I could adapting AR in create and design teaching materials for English language learning. I should be picking out a specific subtopic before I started doing it. For example, I am going to focus on 10 common mispronunciation words by Malaysian students. Through AR, my audience can easily learn the correct pronunciation by playing the virtual video repeatedly. This will help to boost my student’s motivation and develop their skills in pronunciation. However, I think that AR also have its weakness. To access, learners require a very stable and strong internet connection. This could also be something disturbing when the learners spending too much of time on loading it.
